April is National Poetry Month- Celebrate the Poet in Your Family... In Six Languages!

What better way to celebrate National Poetry Month than to Celebrate with a book of your family poet's poetry preserved in one of our archival quality hard bound books! Last year, I had the opportunity to do just this, preserving my Grandfathers poetry in our 7.5"x10" Storybook. This size makes a great heirloom quality book, especially one heavy in text- and have you heard? Heritage Makers is now publishing in new International Fonts. All current Heritage Makers fonts will support most Latin international characters. Supported languages include Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, and German. To insert a special character, use Alt + number for PC users and Opt + number for Mac users. Use the character map on your computer to learn the number for characters you want to insert. Remember, with this new enhancement, a few characters may not be available or may look different from what you expect in some fonts. All characters in all fonts will print the same way they appear in the editor, so if you are unsure about how a character will appear, just type it in to a text box to see how it will look.



Also, the first time you log in to Studio, you will be asked to allow HM to store an unlimited amount of data on your machine. This will only happen the first time you log in to Studio and will actually make your Studio load faster. You’ll be amazed at the speed you’ll see with each additional log in.

What's Cooking at Your House? Believe it or not, this is my daughter this morning. She was making dough, after being "inspired" by a photo she saw of another Heritage Maker's children playing in a flour sack! "That looks like fun Mommy!" This was days ago, yet she remembered this morning. Of course, the most important part of being a Heritage Maker, is making sure you have a Heritage Home of your own. So, I stopped what I was doing, and spent some fun time playing with the dough we created together. I am sure this will end up in my Heritage Makers book for my daughter this year! All this playing got me to thinking about memories- memories of making pie crusts with my Grandmother, and just sitting in the kitchen with her in awe of all the wonderful things she could cook. Sometimes, she would even let me help (what a treat!) So back to my question... What's Cooking at Your House? The Template Gallery now has some great new additions to make your search for the perfect template easier. First, pagination has been added to the gallery so that only 124 templates show on each page. You can easily move between pages by clicking on the words “Next Page” or “Last Page” above and to the right of the templates. Also, new options have been added to the “Sort by” dropdown. Besides sorting by “Date Added” and “Alphabetically,” you can now sort by “Popularity-All,” “Popularity-Last Month,” and “Popularity Last Week.”
